Looking to paint 3D printed smoke for my Suppressors instead of using clear stands, anyone have a good recipe or tutorial. Or maybe even pics for inspiration

I used clump foliage super glued over the top of a foam shape for my vendetta stand. Just dont use too much glue because otherwise the heat it generates during curing starts making the foliage smoulder...

Having re-read your actual question, for smoke, start with black and then a few highlights of different types of grey. I used blue gray as well as more neutral greys on mine. You could maybe think of using the 3d printed bit as the core and glue the clumpy fluffy stuff over he top to get the turbulent particulate feel of smoke plumes in air.

The funny thing for jump packs though is that I always imagine them to be quite efficient units, which would consequently produce not very much smoke. However, if you want that look, go nuts
