Armies on Parade 2020 entry finally together (as much as it is going to be) and in. It tells the story of the simultaneous Cult uprising across the surface of Hive World Novgorod. I was largely inspired by the amazing dioramas at Warhammer World which we got to visit pre-COVID in the summer of 2019. This one would have been a lot more fun to have in the store where people could pour over the details and see all of the little stories, but this is the hand we've been dealt this year.

Good lord, that is absolutely phenomenal work. So much fantastic storytelling. I love how there is such a strong, distinct theme across each layer. Thanks for sharing.

That's fantastic work! I love the idea of the 3 levels and how you've clearly divided up the army into distinct grouped blocks that theme to each level!

That's very cool! The multi-level element is brilliant. The glowing crystals are a nice touch too.

Amazing work. Love the light effects and the ogryn conversions. Also, never considered the brood brother heads on the cawdor minis! I'll have to steal that.

Stunning display, particularly impressed with the tiered system and that one Russ with the bare primer turret.

Oh my lord, this is so cool. Great painting and building a awesome display to show them out. My hat goes off you, a truly talented artist.

I've been quietly following your blog for a while and I can only marvel at the attention to detail on display here: the Leman Russ turret painted to look as if it had just been left with the primer and rushed out the production line, the excellent use of Soviet colours, the red tracer rounds on the heavy bolter feed, the leds in the blown up goliath...
I particularly love the abhuman conversions like the ratlings.

It all comes together so brilliantly and I think you should be very proud of your creation!

Do you know what your sin is, Malcolm Reynolds?
Ah hell, I'm a fan of all seven.
But right now, I'm gonna have to go with wrath.

Truly inspirational, and oh to be able to look through this up close (in less infested times)!

Thanks for sharing

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Thanks for the kind words all - I'm hoping to display this thing in the local Warhammer store (with a few updates to the panels protecting the electronics - purposely not pictured.. ) once the plague is over!
