Hi all, this is more for the admin
I am thinking about starting a new YouTube video channel for the hobby. Am I allowed to advertise here to help get a good following?
Thanks

I believe you can not but not sure. I do believe you can put it in your sig though. Again not sure if things have changed or not.
Sorry I am not much help.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I’m pretty sure someone started a thread on a 40k channel some time ago. Much earlier on, someone started a thread about their RPG podcast.
Not a mod, but I think you should be alright if you’re just giving the heads up on a channel. Not sure if keeping the thread updated with announcements of new episodes is alright. Like Davor said though, you can also leave a link in your signature. Pretty sure a lot of Dakkanaughts do that with their wargaming and painting blogs.

I would assume it comes under Rule 3: No Spam, which includes posting advertising links to websites and services. Put it in your signature basically.

You could probably message an actual admin and ask them this question...

Hi,
Yes you can promote your hobby related youtube channel here. Please stick to a single thread though (updating the title as needed) and make sure it is in the relevant section of the forum (if it is battle reports put it in that sub, if it is P&M then either in tutorials or Plogs as fits). If it contains any not work safe material then please also specify that in the title.
Any further questions please feel free to PM me or any other mod.
