Pretty simple iconography question! Chewing over an idea I've had for a guard regiment, when I came across the Legio Fureans iconography, and fell in love with the bit of South/South-East Asian Calligraphy included on their transfer sheets. I was wondering, firstly, if anyone knows what language it is (I have no idea, sadly not super familiar with language from that part of the world), and also if it means anything?

I think it'd suit the guard regiment I'm thinking of trying to make really well to include some non-high gothic languages, and I really like the idea of other cultures/languages having a place in the 41st Millenium!

I seriously doubt any of what's on the transfer sheet actually means anything. Most likely, someone at FW just downloaded a Devanagari font and typed some random characters they thought looked cool.

I know some of the Legio Fureans titans in official artwork have names on their banners written in Latin characters but done in a Devanagari-looking font like Samarkan or Devine Town. So that's a thing you could try.

Fair enough! I've been hitting up a lot of local Nepalese restaurants lately, and they always have really nice posters of utterly breathtaking landscapes and temples etc., and I've been chewing over how to incorporate the iconography of some of those places. Goodat least to have a notion of how to describe the calligraphy. If anyone is more knowledgeable, feel free to jump in!

Good to know that devangari is also actually used in Nepal, too. I didn't wanna be that guy.
