I think that the concept of 'beat this unit' is that you put up a single unit. Putting up more than one may eventually just lead to 'beat this list'.

The OP says you can have multiple units, though of the same type
but through-out this thread, many have used examples like Lysander + 5 thunder hammer termies

Take a Terminator Captain. Add a LC and CF. He can split his attacks between the weapons in the same phase. Add +1 base attack. His combat tactics state that everyone (including) him swap combat tactics for Furious Charge. Also, he himself gains preferred enemy against the army of the.first model he kills.in CC. So if he slew the Sgt he gains Preferred Enemy SM.

However, if he kills an Infantry unit or MC in CC he gains rage.

I don't think people have posted multiple units for a few pages now, but even so, that doesn't make it right. The OP actually says that you can have a unit and its transport with the exception of Land Raiders, not multiple units as far as I can see.

. Again . But my point still stands that it wasn't a legal entry, a Canoptek Wraith is not the same unit as a C'tan shard. Hang on, how can units comprise of 1-5 squads? Is the definition of unit an entry here? I'd always thought of a unit as something that would be considered a single kill point in a standard game of 40k.

No, the C'tan+Wraith was void, as are Lysander+Hammernators.

In this thread the unit(s) you post can be any type of squad. You can then post up to 4 more of the same squad. I believe they gain different upgrades if you want.

It was really a slight error on the OP's part but nothing to get a full discussion about.
