Hey, so I have started collecting a (mostly) mortal Blades of Khorne army.
I have included a StD Daemon Prince because I like the concept and it seems badass.
I want to get a few more StD units to add to the collection.

As far as the rest of the StD units go, is there anything really cool or useful that can be slipped into a Khorne list?
Like any really great combos or abilities I should know about or clever tricks that can be achieved with a unit I might not have noticed?

Also, bonus points if anything I can throw in is not very expensive ($$$ not points), as this is not my main army just a side project to try and get more variation in games.

Cheers!

Marauders are overpowered, can be marked Khorne, battleline, and are easily converted by adding shields to bloodreavers, who are cheap at $3 per model.

Raptoryx can be insanely good for flanking and picking off lone hero’s and war machines.
Most chaos armies tend to lack quick units or they can be blocked easily.
These little critters are fast enough to get around units and hit key targets.

Sometimes units don’t have to be super Killy or resilient to have a big impact.
2 small units are key in objective games too for zipping about.

The opponent then has to decide if they want to dedicate their own units to killing the tiny units or risk ignoring them.

An STD unit, but I thought Korn hated Slaanesh.

My bad, an STD unit is clearly a Nurgle thing.

To those that say there is no stupid questions I say, "Is this a stupid question?"

Was just dropping by to make that joke myself

In serious terms?

As others said, speedy units. Marauder Horseman, Chaos Warhounds etc. They’re all fast, so can be used to hunt down irritating enemy characters, or zip around to bother objectives.

Yes, they’re typically quite light for Chaos units- but they’re still something your opponent would need to deal with, and that’s still taking heat of your more hitty units.

For khorne, raptoryx aren't really worth it when for a bit extra you can get flesh hounds that are WAY better, fill battleline, and benefit from all the khorne buffs & synergy (of which there are many). Warhounds, on the other hand, aren't worth it for anyone--they are awful. Horsemen are good though, and khorne markable to boot, just be sure to take the javelins.

If you want the ultimate in skirmish shenanigans it's furies, though again for khorne I'd say flesh hounds are better.

I really like 3 units (Warcry bands being 1 unit even though there are 4 that i like, you only take the 1 that works for you though)

1) Be'Lakor: He is just amazing nothing else to say

2) Mindstealer Sphiranx: Great for his ability, also can stack bravery debuffs, and just cheap for 10 wounds

3) Warcry Warbands
a) Untamed Beasts: The best of the 4, they get a really good ability, a free pre game movement, they can also run and charge. Pre game movements are insanely good vs heavy mid range shooting armies and teleporting armies (KO, DoT, CoS, etc..) you can completely put off opponent first turn from hitting your important things bad adding an additional 6" of range to them. Also if you do go first you can get to objectives faster or even run and charge to tag certain units, or just run and block enemy movements. Taking 2 MSU units can really help any list IMO.
b) Iron Guts: A very good objective/back field holding unit. A 4+ (3+ in cover) re-roll saves unit without the need of heroes or CP is good IMO. Though you have to not have moved, make sure to place them where you want in Deployment or as close as you can.
c) Splinter Fang: They can deal cheap MW's and heals 2 wounds a turn (the snake) if it dies, so some cheap pop shots has no effect on them. IMO they are only good if you are taking a lot of them to get 3-4 snakes and to make sure to deal a reliable amount of MW's (its not muhc, only about 7 MW's on average, but with re-roll hits you could deal 10+ MW's easily. And you'll have 8 healing wounds a turn).
d) Cypher Lords: -1 to hit to a unit is really good, though IMO this is the worst of the 4, they also gain +1 to charge.
Why take Warcry units at all? They are giving you 2 things, Utility and Blood Tithe points, they are also cheap, most are 70pts for an average of 10 wounds.

Over all I like Untamed Beasts the most next to Be'Lakor and then the Mindstealer Sphiranx. In my BoC I do all in Be'Lakor first as I have Raiders for pregame movements.
