Just started playing AoS with about 6 games under my belt. I want to get a good Beastclaw Raiders list going. I play more elite, low model count armies. I also like playing faster armies, and Ogors are both. Here's my list:
Boulderhead Mawtribe
Leader
Frost Lord on Stonehorn [400 pts]
General
Artefact: Brand of Svard
Trait: Lord of Beasts
Mount Trait: Metalcruncher
Battalion: Eurlbad [140 pts]
Huskard on Stonehorn [320 pts]
Blood Vulture
Artefact: Alvagr Rune-tokens
Mount Trait: Old Granitetooth
Stonehorn Beastrider [300 pts]
Blood Vulture
Mournfang Pack [240 pts]
4 Mournfangs with Clubs and Hackers, Banner Bearer, and Horn Blower
Mournfang Pack [240 pts]
4 Mournfangs with Clubs and Hackers, Banner Bearer, and Horn Blower
Mournfang Pack [240 pts]
4 Mournfangs with Clubs and Hackers, Banner Bearer, and Horn Blower
I have the following models to make my list: 3 Frostlord/Huskards that can be Stonehorn/Thundertusk (magnetized), 3 Beastriders that can be Stonehorn/Thundertusk, 20 Mournfang (6 leaders, 4 horn blowers, 4 banner bearers, and 6 normal), and 1 Ironblaster.

So I know this seems like a nonsense question, but can you define "good" army performance? What power level are you aiming for, what other armies do you regularly play, etc. It is difficult to give appropriate list advice without a good idea of where you want to be on the potency scale.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

What I mean is: what can I tweek to make this list more competitive? Did I take the right artifacts, traits, and mount traits? More mournfang or less? Did I choose the right tribe? Things like that.

Getting a butcher to camp next to the mawpot would be a pretty big boost. Using your second artifact to give him the wizard flesh apron even more so. A firebelly could also work, if you prefer or the points don't line up. The wizard will also give you an unbind (with +1 from the pot) which is a huge boon against enemies with any magic.
I think thunderbellies would serve you better than boulderhead; you will already have mount traits for both your heroes because of having a battalion and thinderbellies offer a couple solid benefits to mournfangs. The combination of a command trait for +1 to charges and a command ability for re-roll charges is also potent.
Eurlbad is an excellent choice and I would say a necessity for anyone who wants to run a bunch of mournfangs, good job picking up on that.

Thank you, I will switch to thunderbellies. Didn't know that I got an extra mount trait from a battalion. What other benefits do battalions give you?

Inherently battalions give everyone three benefits (on top of what is in the warscroll):
-You can deploy the units in a battalion all at once, one at a time, or anything in between. This reduces the number of deployment drops you have so you can more easily finish first to secure turn choice (by deploying units one at a time until your opponent has one thing left, then deploy the rest).
-You start with an extra command point.
-You get an extra artifact for your army.

What about the extra mount trait mentioned above?

That too. You said "other benefits" which I interpreted as "benefits other than that one" but to clarify: some armies have 'traits' be they mount traits, great endrinworks, or misthovn narcotics. Just like artifacts they get one for free and an extra for each battalion.
Also, I just noticed your signature and that is hilarious!
