Is there any rule against mounting the supressors/inceptors right on the base without using the clear plastic flying sticks?

I cant recall of ANY game where the height of a suppressor/inceptor stand came up as a determining factor in LOS

It's a courtesy to your opponent/tournament ruling question.

With the official rule being any miniscule part of the model being visible granting LoS it will definitely be an advantage.

I hate how they look and would probably want to do the same but I'd try and have one on hand modeled normally to reference whether mine "should" be visible.

Or build them onto rocks up to the same height as the flying stand.

yeah thats what I am leaning towards after seeing examples. Thankfully the inceptors stands are shorter. I am going to add magnets so I can transport the minis easier.

Other option was to have separate "steppers" available to put below the model in case height of the model is an issue. I really dislike tall cake bases as well.

Thankfully inceptors have shorter bases so I can likely keep them on the stands. The suppresors I can test the cake base and see if I like it.
