Hi folks!

Just stumbled into the juiciest deal for a second hand Warlord, and am seriously considering jumping in to Titanicus.
Because it's THE God Machine, I kind of want to make it a bit of a showpiece model.

My local hobby shop sells ruined 1/144 buildings for a pretty good price, and they're plastic, so nice and easy to work with.

So, what do we think? I remember some friction about the scale of Titanicus - would 1/144 scale stuff look silly with titans?

Yea the scale of AT88 and AT18 is a hot potato(either 6mm or 8mm), there has been a few discussions about it here, but i cant remember what the logical voices ended up with AT18 beeing.
However what is clear is that terrain of 6mm and 8mm size are best suitable for AT18 and that means either 1/268 or 1/200, so 1/144 would be too big since it is 11mm scale.

Then again, i guess it depends on the design of the product you have seen, and how mutch of it you are going to be using on that warlord base.
Humans and vehicles you want to be in correct scale, but crates,barrels, cranes, bridges, roads, and buildings should not be too bad and if its plastic as you say, you can allways cut and trim it down.

If you want to be on the safe side, assume that 1/268 figure. I realize people are split on the issue because of some statement or other by GW, but when I did some base decoration for my models (see spoiler) I put a 40k Marine next to a 40k Knight, sculpted the Titanicus Marine to the same height on the Titanicus Knight's leg, and got an 8mm Marine out of it.

Thus I'm fairly confident in the 8mm (or 1/268 as per FrozenDwarf's post) figure. At the end of the day GW is terrible with scale and you can never tell what they'd do exactly if they introduced infantry into Titanicus, but you can be sure that there will be Marines and I figure they will want to keep the size ratio from 40k, give or take. Thus you're probably good if your terrain works with 8mm tall Marines.

AT18 is slightly larger that Z scale but it still looks okay. N scale is visibly too large and the difference can be distracting, depending on the kit.
