I have difficulties in finding a Kill Team manual in these last months.
Is there a new edition at the horizon?

Is the game too similar to WH40K anyway (seen some YouTube tutorials)?

The game is fundamentally different to 40k. They have just announced a new starter set as well,.so.seems unlikely that v2 will be around any time soon.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

You can buy all current Kill Team rulebooks from Warhammer Digital (Corebook, Elites, Commanders, 2019 Annual).

The new starter set will include new datasheets and basic rules + rules for indoors combat, but will probably not contain a revamped core ruleset.

It is yet unknown whether or not the new Kill Team box book will also be available as a digital download. Guess we will know when the new box hits preorder stage.

The rules of Kill Team are a bit different from 40K, but many of the core mechanics are identical. The turn structure isn't totally IGOUGO, and instead of moving units, every model acts independently. 40K Startagems are replaced by Kill Team Tactics, which also cost CP and offer in-game buffs similar to 40K starts.

Well, I'll await then. The game is interesting, expecially for me, because I have a limited number of miniatures. But it's better to await, I don't want to spend money for a product that could have a revamped edition soon (not a second edition but an updated one perhaps).

Certainly. I'd advise not buying any Kill Team rules until the new expansion has been released as we do not know what rules/datasheets are going to be changed with the new expansion.

It would be very, very GW to release a rules supplement and then invalidate it with a new edition 3 months later

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Yeah, +1. GW has a nasty history of releasing content and invalidating it very quickly.

Have you considered the 2nd hand market? Used rulebooks are often at reasonable prices. Maybe check your local social media groups for them.

No announcement as of yet.

Kinda. Similar save for model points, alternating activations, and different team structure compared to the detachments of 40K.

It must be noted that Pariah Nexus is not a starter set, but an expansion.

Many are calling it "Kill Team: Catacombs" but its actually an updated Indomitus version of Rogue Trader.

Just a quick update to confirm that Pariah Nexus does come with the core rules for the game. No indication it has dice, cards and tokens, but if its got the rules then I would assume it will have those.

Pariah Nexus does NOT come with the core rules, nor a rules pamphlet or the like. The WarCom article has falsely advertised the contents of this expansion. Pariah is like every previous KT expansion in that there are no core rules included. It is not a new starter box.

The evidence for this are the leaked table of contents and the unboxing video out of Spain.

Moreover, Pariah does not have rules for all of the models from Indomitus, as a WarCom article stated. The only data sheets for units from that boxset are for Assault Intercessors and some commanders.

Yes, that was posted before the leak of the book contents page and based on the further confirmation from Warhammer Community.

Any chance seeing that video? I'd like to see whats actually in the box too, as this whole fiasco has been annoying from the start. The leaked price doesn't ring right either, not at £100 for what is far less than the current Tau-Wolf starter.

EDIT: Its alright, I was being lazy and now found it. Hate to say it but I was right in the first place; Pariah Nexus is an expansion, full stop. Damn.

So can you play Pariah Nexus as a game though without the book?
Like rogue trader could be played as it was a complete game, though didn’t have the full rulebook right?

You could? I didn't know that about Rogue Trader. Pretty cool.

From the reviews so far, there's been no mention of being able to play Pariah Nexus out of the box.

Rogue Trader could be played as 40k since it had the 40k rules pamphlet and the Datasheets for the Gellerpox and Starstriders. You still needed the Kill Team Core Manual if you wanted to play Kill Team.

Just finished my preliminary read of the new expansion. I like it! I'm already planning on expanding my Zone Mortalis terrain collection to be able to make a 3x3 foot close confines board for our upcoming games.

We normally like to play on 4x4' but I reckon close confines might work just as well on a 3x3', and ATM it's not really realistic for me to get enough terrain to be able to pull off a 4x4' ZM table without it being too sparse on wall sections. I have loads of scatter terrain, but since walls and narrow corridors play such a significant role in CConfines games, it wouldn't be the same.

One thing which seems unclear though is the way multidice weapons work in close confines.. the rules say to add one dice and remove one? So if I have a D6 assault weapon, does it become 2D6 assault (remove the lower dice), or does it become 2D6 -1? The wording isnt as clear as on the tactics, where the rules specifically state "add one dice and remove the dice with the lowest result".. Guess we'll get a FAQ for this one soon
