As I'm now the proud owner of an Undead 1/2ling army (minis from TTCombat), I'm in the process of sifting through the various
AoS undead books/
FAQs/etc to get a list together.
Reading the Nagash & the Nighthaunt books I notice that the Black Coach has two different warscrolls. With waaay different pt values.
So vaguely knowing they've made some changes to some of the units/warscrolls, & who can use what, I go look through each books
FAQs/Errata/Designer Commentary.
I find nothing useful on the subject, but I do find this perplexing bit in the Legions Nagash Commentary:
Q: Can I use the new model for the Nighthaunt Black Coach to
represent a Legion Black Coach?
A: Only if your opponent agrees to let you use it as a
proxy model.

???
What the hell are they talking about?
They don't make a "Legion Black Coach" kit. Nor did they as of July 2019 when this commentary was published.
So what's
GW think a Nagash player should be using model-wise for the Coach? ???
Note that we're not talking about wich
rules to use, just what physical model gets put on the table.
*For the record? If I run a Black Coach with my 1/2lings I'll just use my ages old
WHFB 5th(?)ed metal one. It's served for plenty of D&D games over the decades, but it's never yet seen use on
WHFB/
AoS table. Conveniently its scaled just about right for for a 1/2ling army.
