One of my team down at the local FLGS won his first ever event at a local, and I wanted to 3d print him a plaque or trophy of some sort. Does anyone have any ideas or links to places where I can design Sign STLs?

Thanks in advance!

If you download 3D Builder for windows it has an "emboss" tool that allows you to create either raised text or engraved text on 3d objects. You can create your own shapes from the same library of shapes it has, or you can upload any STL and put text on it.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

++++1 to 3D Builder. I have used it to both emboss and deboss letters on many bases, as well as logos to models and such. Super easy to use. However, there are a few tricks if you want to use a custom logo to emboss/deboss - you either have to use a positive or negative of the image, depending on the final result, so play around and you will get there!

If you're using a bitmap also try varying resolutions and sharpness levels, results vary wildly and I haven't been able to figure out what's best.
