After doing a Greywater Fastness list a while ago I thought I'd balance it out with a Living City list. Turns out I really like them.

General idea of the list as follows - Fulminators and Celestant use the Living City special deployment to get close to something.
Use the CA so the Fulminators can shoot then move and then charge.
Kurnoth hunters are the anvil that can be buffed by the Treeman.
Crossbowmen with general for many many shots.
Guard are there for objective grabbing. 
Ironbreakers because I had exactly enough points and they are just going to be more survivable objective grabbing.

Seems pretty solid to me. Not sure the wardroth horn if your best artifact choice, cloak on the freeguil general or spear on the celestant seems more useful.

The Ancient isn't going to accomplish anything in the game. A Durthu or Drycha can do better as they can disrupt, utilize the movement/charge command trait better and ... reading your comment what buffing can an ancient do to KHs that a Sorceress or BM couldn't do better?

Sadly very little of Sylvaneth is better outside that book aside from Alarielle whom along with a Celestial Hurricanum (ambushing) while she slams into stuff with her 32"s of movement.
