Yeah, the motive system seems to be fundamentally flawed, but the overall shape of the thing looks pretty good.

I am hoping that those wheels are meant to attach the tracks and that the designer as seen a tank before?
Regardless, it seems a bit too simple for a kickstarter, there is not much that you get once it funds, even with stretch goals. It seems a bit like a low effort campaign.

Likely they chose the KS route just to get more eyes on the model launch than if they just released it into a store.
It's an effective enough marketing strategy, we're talking about it...
As for the wheels, I'd speculate this might be one of those cases of trying to be different to lessen a cease and desist, but also just a "I don't understand how vehicles actually work" thing.

As well as the terrible wheels/tracks situation, the pintle gun is mounted via the barrels. I can just imagine it firing and the barrels remaining stationary while the receiver is spinning wildly at the back
