Hi all.

So the price of characters is just silly. A single mini for the price of a whole box is just greed at its finest and given recent news I am looking to instead use some alternatives for the character models in the army I’m building.

Can anyone suggest a maker that sends or is based in the UK?

Character models lile you're looking for arent really "a thing" as such.
The closest you'll find is probably Scibor minis or maybe files for 3D printed jobs.

Places like Anvil Industries (based in UK), Kromlech, Spellcrow, and a few others do Space Marine bitz. You'd be able to kitbash a unique character that way for a reasonable price.

Kitbash your own out of other boxes?

What character do you want? Some are easier then others.

The Bladeguard vet box is basically a captain and two lieutenants.

The assault intercessor box has most of the CC toys you need.

Skull helms for chaplains in the reiver box

Go heavy with the extras from the chapter upgrade sprues to make them stand out.

Old marines are easier then primaris. Very deep range, look at things like the Grey Knight boxes if you want parts for librarians.

Obviously it helps to have a stocked bits box. You don’t want to buy a whole kit just for one helmet. But you can ask around localy and see if people are willing to swap the parts you need.
