Does anyone know where the winning armies/players have been posted for the AoS and 40k GW Open event this past weekend in Orlando, FL?
I didn't see it on the GW WarCom page yet and didn't find it here.
Thanks

It's nice to see a decent spread of AoS armies at the top. Not dominated by one single meta list.

It's dominated by one major meta type though. Every single list is 1000+points of characters and/or behemouths +things that can either shoot or grab objectives.
Which still sounds broader than it actually is. Most of these lists will function extremely similarly, you might not even notice you're playing against different factions if the paint jobs are close enough.

Gotcha, thx for pointing that out. I didn't look that close. Our local meta is pretty casual so its usually a few characters and blobs of battleline, supported by more elite units. That's just the way I'm programmed from old 4-6th edition WFB days.

The Lumineth are a major standout in that they have quite a lot of infantry/cavalry compared to any other list (except the vampire one, except the vampire infantry/dogs are very cheap)

Well change to the 70 sentinels it used to be. Surprised that with sentinels getting cheaper in effect and more powerful while at it(buff AND discount? WTF) they weren't even more used.

Sentinels are powerful for being able to put MWs on targets reliably at long range, but they don't put out enough raw damage to carry things by themselves.
At any rate, the battleline choice of the Slaanesh player surprised me. Everything else is pretty in line with expectations. Here's hoping we see some nerfs to commonly exploited elements (LOOKING AT YOU AMULET) sooner rather than later.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |
