I used the search function and saw similar complaints, but I did not find a solution. I just bought the DG codex to get familiar with 9th edition and wanted to redeem the code in the app. Figured I would use the sanctioned app to build armies. Got home, tried to redeem code and kept getting "Our cogitators don't recognise that code – please double check and give it another go." yet I have tripled checked the code and it's correct. None of the letters or numbers can be confused due to font issues. I'm not sure what's going on. Are there fixes or solutions out there?

edit: none of the digits are confuseable with font. ie no I vs L or i or 1.

There's got to be a customer service center that addresses these issues. I mean you need to go through GW somehow and submit some sort of trouble ticket. Have you considered contacting a local GW shop to see if they have a fix?

When you bought the Codex, was it shrink wrapped?

If not, we can’t necessarily rule out that some cheeky crappy has made a note of it.

yes, it was shrink wrapped. I wouldn't have bought it. I also trust my local family shop not to repackage although anything is possible. I have emailed GW but I wanted to utilize the app abilities now. I'm impatient when it comes to getting what I pay for, and the app is why I went out and bought the codex today. Silly me, I should have realized that after this long there were still issues.

I have checked variations of the letters/numbers using a chart on often misidentified alphanumerics but no joy.

closest GW shop is over 2 hours away. I sent an email but I'm not holding out hope as I don't have a receipt. Even if I did it's just a simple numbers receipt not listed by item.

Nope, considered that. I'm not sure any of the letters or numbers I have could be mistaken within the font. I could be wrong but I've already tried several possible variations. I like BS but I had this strange idea I would support the company who made the app so many have been clamoring for. I now realize that was misguided.

Can anyone weigh in on what the app says when the code has already been registered?

It won’t exactly help resolve OP’s problem, but it might help rule some form of shenanigans out.

Well this is something GW is only one that can really help. If you have made damned sure letters are correct and upper/lower case are in place then not much that can be done beside contacting GW.

Outside of an app error, the only other thing I can think of is some joker has cracked the underlying code, and begun generating random ones?

I’ve no idea how likely that is, but I believe it to be possible?

I guess that is possible. Like the key generators of old. That would suck though. I emailed them yesterday. Hoping for a response any time now.
