I'm on a bit of a Custodes print marathon. My plan is to have all the vehicles in my army be unique designs, as Custodes are known to customize their equipment. As a general rule the normal Contemptor is considered "ugly trash" as opposed to the FW dreadnoughts. As I have one of each I would generally agree. However, there is a certain charm with the normal variety. Since I am 3D printing another one anyway, I was thinking of adding elements of both designs. Normal contemptor torso, waist, and thigh, with FW style shins, feet, shoulders arms, and weapons. It would make it look unique on the battlefield, while also tying together the designs of the other two dreadnoughts I currently have.

Is this a silly idea?

Nope. Go for it and post pictures!

If it doesn’t work, you have wasted hardly anything other than a bit of digital kit ash time

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
