Hello,

I'm super new to Warhammer and I'm looking to get into Craftworlds. I love their ability to strike and move in powerful weapons and hope to build a list around that mentality. Would you guys/gals help me create a 2000 point list? I know the new codex is coming out next month but I was hoping to get a prelist together then modify it once with list is out.

The strategy I'm looking for is more shooting based with some tanky units to hold the middle objectives. If there's points for it maybe a unit to assassinate valuable targets. I guess something that involves zooming and booming with tanky units to hold the points.

I saw the Biel-Tan is getting a good buff for shooting units.

Thank you so much for the help!!

PS: My buddies who play Warhammer don't play Eldar so they haven't been much help :(

I'd guess everyone is waiting for the new codex. A lot of it has leaked, but so much of it also how everything works together. Plus we're going to see some new models roll out. I've been backburner'ing a Craftworld list myself - I leaned towards Siam-Hann or Iyanden but anything I commit to know could be invalidated in a month or so, so I'm waiting.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

I would wait for the new codex at this point. The advice I could give for the current book will undoubtedly be wrong come March.

Wraithblades with ghost ax and shields are the best for holding objectives. So many ten of those. Can split into two units or do one large unit and buff it with protect psychic power and fortune. And they are nigh unkillable. Next codex they will be even tougher to kill.

I am not a fan of guardians so I run a patrol detachment of harlequins in starweavers. They are mostly protected while riding around in a transport and unlike guardians they are murder machines. Then for heavy support a few fire prism using the linked fire stratagem. Keep most of them hidden then pop out with one to use linked fire to take out one big target. Then fire and fade back into cover.

Warp spiders are going to be extremely good for objective capturing as well. Definitely a farseer skyrunner. Troupe master. And Shadowseer. Learn your stratagems and practice using them at the right times.
