Some of these I get, as there's stuff here I remember from 3rd/4th that does look old, and I know GW like to release new Marine Heroes every 5 minutes. Watch Captain Artemis though?! That model looks awesome, I'm tempted to buy it and I don't even collect Deathwatch.

Am I worrying too much? Are Artemis and others going to get Primarised soon? What are you guy's thoughts about these?

Heh, I thought this was about the actual product line Space Marine Heroes which we haven't heard anything from after the Wave 3 Death Guard.

No but the website is still up, maybe hinting that they are not done with it !

Artemis and Karlaen were in excellent faction SC boxes, and, as players probably don't need more than 1-3 of these even with conversions, were readily available brand new on second hand market for cheap. This is probably why they were retired, no one bought them for standalone HQ prices...

This sums up why they're going. Tempted to but =/= a purchase putting cash in GW's pocket. See also: FW and Krieg. Soooo many "I might start Krieg someday" posts. Comparatively few purchasers.

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

In a few cases, yeah, but a lot of those are ancient-looking and have been around since the 90s for a fact. And don't worry, I'm not gonna buy any.

Oh right, that makes sense.

I'm a little sad about the rune priest as well, he always reminded me of this:
