I didn't see any prior ports on this. Any explanation on why FW is discontinuing most of the Ork Stompa parts but only making the head?

Also, isn't the Necron Pylon still in the rules?

Seem to be current models still in use. Anyone know the mysterious ways of the Forgeworld decision making?

Forgeworld discontinues models all of the time. The only odd thing here is that they gave warning.

If you feel like panicking about stuff still in the Codex missing models, go check out the last chance stuff underthe limited stock tab on the main GW site.

Could be the molds need to be rebuilt , and there is remaining stock. Can't make new kits until they rebuild the mold. Happens with fw kits all the time.

It's part of GW's range rotation system.

FW being included is a bit odd since its not finecast, but the choices GW makes regarding FW can be almost impossible to work out why. Eg they are also retiring one set of weapons for the necron titan, but not the titan with those weapons and not the other set of weapons for the titan.

Sometimes their choices are impossible to work out. Best you can do is if you want it get it

I've heard FW basically makes a model until the mould is knackered, then decides if it sells enough to make another mould or not.
This is why units may suddenly and unexpectedly drop off the store. Mould broke, wasn't selling, disappeared!

Sorry, but you're wrong. A large number of the models and upgrades released with the ork IA in 5th have disappeared for good. Some of the classics like the squiggoths keep disappearing and coming back, but most disappear for good. Just to name a few examples, the kill krusha, warkopta, grot bomm launcha, lifta wagon and all the big trakk/gun trukk options have never resurfaced after FW removed them from the store.

I'm fairly sure many of the elysian models have suffered a similar fate, but I'm not that firm on those.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I assumed he was referring to "Forgeworld East" who maintain production and stock of a wide variety of OoP Forgeworld minis.
Hence the wink.

I wouldn't say that. Forge World has been discontinuing models at random for over two years now.

You clearly missed the "" in my post.

Like I said, when it comes to Forge World minis, nothing is ever truly gone.

Seeing they are specifically said to be part of range rotation it's pretty safe bet to say they are part of range rotation.

Aye, however GW has chosen to mark those models as part of its range retirement and rotation post along with the finecast stuff form GW itself.

But they are really random. Eg when they were retiring a bunch of space marine models earlier in the year from FW they didn't list the Tyranid stuff on the page, it was listed on its own profile but not the page.

Sometimes its baffling how a company GW's size and experience can still be so spotty with communicating what products are going; what are staying; what are going for a short time; what are going long term or anything.
