As I understand it we'll be getting a new Gloomspite Gitz tome sometime this year and I am wondering if we think that Jaws of Mork will make it into the book or if it is just going to stay a WD formation. I mostly mess around with AoS on the build/paint side so not really sure how likely this is. Have other books included formations from other sources when updated?

I’d wager it will survive in a fashion, but based on the design paradigm of 3.0. Some stuff might be lost, changed or added to, due to edition changing since Jaws was released.

It would shock me if they didn’t take what worked in the 3 WD updates and didn’t try to port it over to the new tome.

Well subfactions generally are one rule + maybe optional battleline.

This could be some sort of buff to squigs(not neccessarily current one) plus squigs as battleline instead of general unlocking them.

All the WD subfactions for GSG were updated in Broken Realms: Kragnos, strange that they apparently aren't in the 3rd edition app.

Well updated as in loonshrine got bit touching.

But yes they are. expansion->kragnos. Subfaction allegiance abilities. The 3 are there.

The one thing I don't like about app is it collects stuff by the book. Not by the faction. Not that bad in AOS with not many expansions but in 40k it's really annoying.

Wow that's convoluted, they couldn't have just put them under a subfaction heading in GSG? Seriously...

As said. Rules are by book. Not faction.

It's worse on 40k side with 3-4 books to filter. And there stratagems of supplement with 4 factions are all in same page by name so mixed mess.

Aos has it easy. And luckily subfaction rules are minor enough you rarely need them(artefact and command trait are in army list. You basically need it to see reroll movement and command ability)
