Anyone else running into the issue that item C23 (Theridons champion tail) is missing?

Just contacted GW and hoping for a quick reply. I know they are very busy this time of year.

Is the piece popped out of the sprue and missing from the box? I checked mine and its there.

I'm located in the US if that helps at all. Were you able to successfully redeem the code in your battletome by chance? Mine kept throwing errors and wouldn't redeem. I sent an email to GW customer service to try and resolve.

probably due to battletome not being put to app until it goes out general release. Same reason why it won't be usable in GW tournaments until general release.

Until book comes out on it's own app won't be of any use for StD

Good point tneva82,

The thought did cross my mind. I was trying to think back to when I got the Ork Beast snagga box set that came with a new codex and whether I was able to redeem that code day 1 or not. I think I ordered the box a little late and not at release date and was able to redeem the code the Saturday pre-orders went up for the standalone codex. So maybe once the Sunday preview comes up for standalone STD battletome I will try again then.

Just checked mine, tail is intact.

However, a talon was broken off the daemon princes half-wing (#61), next to the hanging skull, so clearly some pressure was placed on the sprues. The box set was notably upside down in the UPS/USPS box so, though the box set itself was relatively well packed, the weight of the book would've been on the sprues by default, and the shipping box was notably squashed (too big with too little packing material).

The Daemon Prince sprues are also a lot fiddlier than I'd like. Lots of little bits and bobs and chains and things. The left kneepad has a horseshoe shaped armor piece that goes behind the skull- that was a separate bit, and split in two as I clipped if off (yes, with actual sprue clippers). It still glued in fine, but that did set the tone for the first half of assembly (I called it a night halfway done). Some of the joins could be a bit better as well- the leg resting on the rock and the whole sub-assembly of torso-tetris were... fun.

Yeah, the torso assembly is something else. Not sure the order suggested in the book is the best way to do it.

Latest answer from GW after 7 emails back and forth

Thank you for your email, I apologise for the delay in our response.

In this case I am going to look into the possibility of replacement part to be sent to you from our office in the UK directly.

I will be in the office next Wednesday and I can then look into this and advise if we can replace the part, if this will be ok?

Thank you for your patience

Got the piece. GW sent a whole box set to the vendor to give me one piece out of the set.
