OK, technically last week was the time for your completely false and made up 2023 gaming rumors but here we go...

1 - Horus Heresy the End and the Death Part 3 will end the 10 book Siege of Terra series.
2 - Horus Heresy the Beginning and the Life will kick off the 10 book Siege of the Vengeful Spirit series.
3 - New HH character, a dude in ornate armor, bald head, waving an oversized weapon, and screaming. Possibly with one foot on a rock. Not confirmed.
4 - New HH Mark V "Heresy" armor set. Sold without shoulder pads or heads.
5 - Sets of 5 Legion-specific shoulder pads and heads for £50. Supplies limited.
6 - Horus Heresy the Middle and the Birth will kick off the 10 book Siege of Horus' Throne Room series.
7 - Made to Order classic guardsmen. For $20 each. Squad deal, 10 models for $199.99.
8 - New weapon, the Cosmic Total Annihilation Cannon S16, AP -8, Ignore Invulnerable Saves, damage 12d6
9 - Cosmic Total Annihilation Cannon revised to S7, AP -2, damage d6 in FAQ a month later.
10 - Horus Heresy the Postscript and the Afterlife kicks off the 10 book Duel of Horus and the Emperor series. The 37 page description of Horus drawing his sword will win the Noble Prize for Padding.

1.Eldar will be the next to get a new codex and new models. (That one could be true but watch it as it probably isn't. )

2.Primaris Chaos models inbound (I'm joking).

3.Henry Cavil will become Inquisitor Eisenhorn in the new Amazon gig.

4.Black Orks and Krorks will be added to the 10th Ork codex.

5.Sly Marbo will be playable in Kill Team

6.Renegades and Heretics will have their own codex.

7.Games Workshop will revise Doomrider

8.The 10th will be more balanced than ever.

9.The 10th will bring back Looted Tanks in Matched Play.

10.I will become a mon'keighs uncle.

1. Eldar Exodites and Corsairs will get a joint codex
2. To speed up the release schedule all new Primaris Lieutenants will be made in Finecast
3. 10th edition will be a full retrograde back to Rogue Trader rules
4. GW will release all Forgeworld flyers in plastic, 6 months later flyers will be scrapped from the rules.
5. Dark Angels will finally be confirmed as a Chaos faction
6. Forgeworld will release a model of the Emperor and then kill him of in the novels
7. For the anniversary GW will drop prices by 50%
8. GW will release a starter set that has two xenos armies

The next edition will finally satisfy every Dakka poster.

Tyranids will get a bio-titan in plastic.

1. With the Emperor overcoming Horus and able to lead humanity back to the stars we see the release of 'Mankind Ascendant 1.0'.
This game pits loyalists against heretics in a battle to reclaim the galaxy from madness.
2. Much like the HH game Xenos will never feature.
3. All remaining major and minor SM characters will cross the rubicon and get Primaris-ised. Lacking enough mary sue serum to cover everyone each chapter looses significant insignificant chaff to the same process.
4. KD's Gamblers Chest will now be upgraded even more! More stuff! Even more perfect! but digital only as Poots pivots efforts to a 'soon' to be realised PC game (from update on 31/12/2023.
5. Pokemon continue to look even more ridiculous.

Horus Heresy the Wind in the Willows is the starting point for a new exploration of more mild mannered interactions with mutants and Xenos in the early stages of the heresy.

Also the Emperor gets obsessed with spaceships, and gets into the most frightful scrapes.

The Mortal Realms will be destroyed as Teclis and the Stormcast Eternals reunite the winds of magic, creating and resetting the old world. Thus Warhammer: Age of Sigmar will be replaced by Warhammer: Age of Aenarion.

GW will introduce the Reinforcement Crate mechanic to gameplay.

Reinforcement Crate Card Packs can only be purchased in Warhammer stores, £5 for 3 in a blind buy pack.
Each card has a picture of a unit.
At the start of each game you can open as many packs as you like and add the pictured units to your army for 1CP each (no points cost) - as long as you have the correct models Battle Ready.
Remaining cards have to be burnt on the spot or you auto-lose the game.

This is legal in all formats of the game.

1) Tyranids will get a plastic, 3 model biovore/pyrovore duel kit. They will also get the same for the deathleaper/lictor model.

2) Red Terror will get a brand new model, Trygon sized

3) The Swarmlord will kill someone important in the narrative! They will not be resurrected, the Swarmlord will not die at the end of the fight.

4) GW will release the first work in progress artwork of Eldar Exodites in advance of a new army to be released in 2050

5) Tyranids will be the first Xenos race in Adetus Titanicus. They will also get Aircraft in AN

6) GW will advance the 40K storyline and 10th edition will mark the end of 40K and the beginning of 50K. All GW logos, marketing and branding will change to reflect this.

7) Henry Cavill will play the Emperor in a special 2023 Christmas Pantomime held at GW HQ. Boris Jonson will play Horus

8) Ode del la Slum - a brand new range of perfumes inspired by Necromunda Gangs.

9) GW will launch their own 3D printer and resin in Q3. This printer will only work with GW approved models and each model purchased will have a limited number of print activations before you have to buy more activations. You will be able to take photos of failed models to appeal to GW' support for free activations if you get a fail.

10) One Page Rules will reveal their long term plan to buy enough GW stock to become a majority shareholder and use this influence to rebrand GW as One Page Rules in light of a new edition of everything in 2024.

This year is the year, for real this time.

People will live and let live when it comes to minor rules squabbles, and everyone will be able to have fun.

1. 10th Edition will drop, and the Orks will get an amazingly good codex right out of the gate. This will include a written apology for all the half-arsed rules and lazy, derivative fluff that's been inflicted on them for the last 2 decades.
2. Meanwhile, a second HH boxed set will be released, containing Legion Assault squads (jump packers and Breachers), Jetbikes and a multi-part Centurion / Consul kits.
3. The HH rulebook will get a thorough FAQ treatment that fixes the various rules issues.
4. Battlefleet Gothic will be re-released, and there will be much rejoicing.
5. The Ork codex will get nerfed.
6. I will finally finish painting an army...

39 - Following the success of Codex Imperial Knights, the army with 3 kits, will come Codex Chaos Knights, the army with 2 ki...

1 – I've heard, from a pretty reliable source, that Tenth edition 40k will be a return to roots. You'll roleplay a single character, and if they're killed, your army will revert to automatic actions based on a series of interlinked tables.

2 – Don't worry, though. To prevent tenth edition devolving into rolling too many dice, we'll see dice phased out in favour of player-controlled musical duels. You'll be encouraged to upgrade to faction-themed plastic recorders, but a pair of kazoos will be included in the boxed set.

3 – To tie into the tight role-play theme, the boxed set will present you with a contrasting pair of armies: A lone Rogue Trader commanding a Knight versus an exciting new foe: prepare for the Pan Fo to be reviled!

We still have Exodites which GW gleefully keeps reminding us are a thing whenever they do a general article on the Eldar. Squats at least vanished lore wise until GW wanted to bring them back. Exodites have maybe had a model once in the history of GW and that was likely back in the Rogue Trader (or close too) era. With nothing save hints that one day GW might make an Eldar force riding dinosuars and dragons and such

It's too bad James Workshop didn't have time to playtest that one more but very generous of them to give us a FAQ only a month later.

To deal with the rising issue of more weapons that ignore invulnerable saves, GW will introduce a new saves system

Regular - invulnerable - indominable - invincible.

1. In a very strange turn of events the new Amazon/GW TV show will actually be a celebrity gossip style format focusing on 30k developments. Presented by Henry Cavil and Perez Hilton it will be called the Horus Hearsay

2. GW will release a range of Ork themed energy drinks called Goff Rockstar

Privateer Press will make a massive comeback with Warmachine Mk IV in 2023, toppling GW from top miniatures producers.

GW announces Kill Team rules updated for 7" scale exclusively using McFarlane figures. 10th edition is delayed while production ramps up to meet expected demand when it too is updated for 7" scale.

The Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike becomes the Black and White Primaris Space Marine on the Black and White Bike.

2023 will see two editions of 40k in the same year, with none of the books from either being remotely compatible.

Turned out that the Votann´s release was a blunder. They are being resquatted on 1st of April 2023.

10th edition will require your to spend CP to use weapons upgrades in your units. But it's cool because all the upgrades are free.

The Emperor will awaken and, in a bid to 1-up Cawl, reveal the secret project he's been working on this whole time: Penultima Marines. These will all by taller, bigger, and be clad in a new mark of power armor. And the models will use 40mm base as standard.

And what is more, they will be run in parallel, for the first 6 months Europe amd Australia will have version 10a, while the UK and Japan run version 10b, the. They swap over for another 6 months. In addition, the US and Nz are stuck with version 9 for the whole year, and the. Retroactively get one of the version 10 editions applied to all previous games!

Sadly 9th has already been doing this, in ever increasing amounts.
