How do!
Bit of a random one, as a band formerly signed to GW’s long defunct Label have a 4 cassette collectors edition on a Kick Starter equivalent.
[zorched due to possible record producer hijinks, see below]
£50 for four tapes in a very nice looking presentation box.
I’d be tempted, but I’m afraid I no longer own a tape deck.

I'm tempted but I already have those 4 albums on cd so will have to think about it.
It's great to see they are doing this though and are well on target to get funded, currently at 97% there.
It's enough to make me go nostalgic for a while and crank up the car stereo blasting Bolt Thrower to share with any pedestrians or shop owners around town.

These multi-tape box sets appear to have become a bit of a thing for metal bands just recently. A six cassette set just came out for Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, too. Would be very interested in buying this if it ever ended up in shops.

Apparently it's their old record label doing it without their permission (just got yelled at for sharing the link!). I'll do some digging...

Yeah, Bolt Thrower got screwed over hard by their old label, they're owed a lot of royalties as well.
Since releasing Those Once Loyal (2005), Earache has released a remastered edition of the 1989 album Realm of Chaos featuring alternate artwork by John Sibbick, the artist responsible for the original artwork of both the Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader cover and Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness. The band encouraged people not to buy it as, like Who Dares Wins, it was released without their consultation let alone consent. Furthermore, it has been alleged that the band has not received royalties from Earache for a number of years.
So, if you love the band, flip off Arseache Records and don't support them.

^Oh sorry to hear that, wasn't aware. It's a shame record labels do musicians bad like that. Made my decision easy then.
Anyway this thread brought back some Bolt Thrower memories for me. I rediscovered most of my cds, it was fun.
Saw them in concert a long time ago and that was something else. Some halfwit jumped off the 2nd story balcony into the moshpit and knocked out a couple of metalheads. Medics took them away. 10mins later some other moron did exactly the same thing!
Oh those were the days hey lol.

Just to be clear, is this Kick Starter authorized by the band or not? If not I'll remove the link.

As the OP?
It’s from Earache. Who are alleged* to be the problem.
I don’t know and wouldn’t know where to start finding out, if the Band have consented and benefit.
Oh Captain, My Captain! I suggest you scuttle the thread entirely. As I suspect if the band themself were up for this? It would be evident due to algorithm.
As in? Feel free to nuke this entire thread. Not that you need my permission like. But without the link it becomes meaningless, so is better served by deletion.

So...
Per Wikipedia the band broke up and their official site has nothing on this cassette collection for or against.
http://www.boltthrower.com/news/news.php
Wikipedia brought me to the internet archive, which brought me to a 2005 statement condemning Earache records for other rereleases claiming the band got no royalties.
https://web.archive.org/web/20071001002738/http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=44467
I claim no special knowledge of the ins and outs of the death metal collectable cassette industry but I would say the preponderance of evidence suggests that the artists would not benefit from this project and so by the authority vested in me by uh... Mad Doc Grotsnik, I guess, I'll shut this down for now.
If we're wrong, if this is in fact a project authorized by and benefiting the fine people of Bolt Thrower shoot me a PM and I'll reopen it.
Sound fair?
