Hands up who loves a bit of Blondie?

Everyone?

Damn. Straight.

And for me, this is them at their very best. Spesh as the recording was finalised using that time the drummer chose, for laughs and chuckles, to deliberately overplay.

The end result is just magnificent.

Blondie is a great singer but it was randomly coming across Rock'n'Rule one late night, and being blown away by her singing for that film. One of those animated films probably best enjoyed while being drunk at 3am and you ain't got work the next day...

Debbie Harry Is A Goddess. Even now, she’s a Fox.

And now for a song I think can be used a theme for absolutely any 40K Turbo Nutter. But I particularly like to imagine blaring from a Knight’s Warhorns whilst it hunts down the enemy commander. Or indeed, is just what goes on in an Eversor’s bonce once it’s allowed to go completely hatstand or indeed totally gazebo in the enemy command bunker.

I am listening to a physical copy of Babylon 5 Volume 2: Messages from Earth by Christopher Franke.

I found this CD in a used bookstore the other day. It's been on repeat pretty much all week.

I've been hearing the line "audience of one" a lot lately which reminded me of this song which might be one of my favorite Rise Against songs up with Prayer of the Refugee (which is pretty much Attelus Kaltos from Secret War's theme song, along with Assassin by Muse), Injection, and Where Abouts Unknown.

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

Saw these guys live on Saturday, opening for Creeper. They were damn good and deserve some attention...

Creeper were absolutely magnificent. Easily the best concert I've ever been to!

It turns out that the lead singer and lead guitarist watched all their live gigs in this venue growing up, and always dreamed of playing there. The singer's dad was in the crowd, and they truly played their hearts out. I took my son - it was his first concert, and he's now desperate to go again!

John Williams’ absolute masterpiece.

Instantly recognisable, and inspiring. For me and I daresay Dakkanauts of the same vintage, if not all ages? This is Superman. That singular being that can do what no-one else can. A triumphal tune to what we could be.

Made all the more special around 2:58, when the main theme repeats three times, ever more strident. Reminding us that even Superman must some double and even triple his efforts.

It’s just moral inspiration set and defined in music.

My friends had gone from carefree kids to alkies, junkies, teen mothers, losers and dropouts in the blink of an eye. I still count myself that I survived that tumultuous period.

A lovely Prog Rock jam session. In an era of backing track, back up dancers, group written lyrics, auto-tune and frankly style over substance?

I need to hear more modern music in this vein. Just folks getting down and getting with it for the sake of music. Doesn’t need to be a multi-instrumental genius like Msr Winters. Just the raw skill and a will to see what you can come up with.

That isn’t Jazz.

Speaking of Get Down, Get With It?

I wish I could sing, let alone sing like Noddy.
