I was starting to wonder where you'd disappeared to.

Very nice start on the tank destroyer, looking good.

Basing kit looks interesting, have fun with that

I love the variety and wonderful spectrum of models you show us on this blog, but seeing a tank in production brought a tear to my eye, at last a return to the real world.

All looking great, looking forward to your basing efforts, but yeah really want to see that tank hunter develop.

I understand, and there will be more pics of the Tank Destroyer, I promise. In the meantime, these little guys were left on my porch and needed a bath, some work, and a home.

Had to give this one that black priming.

I am now at a point of adding to that smooth surface with details.

Next phase to the basing for a battle affected and scorched/bleached land is the base dark gray, any gray seems to work well, so a dark stone, or other gray laid down first helps.
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

after touching up the base coat of dark, I then use a light gray like Reaper's "Weathered stone" or other light gray dry-brushed on the dark.
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

[/img]

Once dry, some PVA glue and a dip in the green grass material I still have left, maybe some alien moss?

Brilliant work Shas, and thanks for the step by step on the basing. Always good to see how people do things. Hope there are many who will gain from this. Basing is so overlooked. Just go through the gallery some time. These are very well balanced, compliment the model and look great without drawing too much attention. Thanks for sharing bud.

Really nice work shas! I like how you've worked the tufts and flock together, don't forget you tend to find all sorts of plants growing together depending on the environment with bushy grasses providing some elemental protection.

As cam says its not many people that put that much effort into basing, and I've noticed fewer still use flock these days, sadly.

I like how the metallic greens are contrasting with the reds of the clothing(?)

Thank you as well Dr.H! I have drawn some inspiration merely looking at effects achieved by others, and well, I got tired of merely painting bases green, etc.

So, I know I have been quiet for a long, long time. I am pondering if I ought to Orkify the TD or make it a human machine as planned, so I am willing to let folks weigh in and vote on this issue, the target pictured

so next will be their armor and clothing where applicable

To Orkify the TD, I will need to cut glyph plate parts to slap on as well as "Extra Armor"

Glad to see you back in action.

As for the TD, it's whatever makes you happy. Since I figured you started it as a Human vee, why not finish it as such? Of course, the Orks WILL steal anything and make it ROIGHT PROPPA. And I haven't seen a lot of your Ork stuff in this thread. So it would be a change.

Either way, I look forward to the end result.

Been away for a while, I know, many personal reasons, and other sundries. latest was a infection in my foot that had to be treated, and is now in retreat. I did get some aliens from the Evolved Intelligence to add to my alien forces of the Gav' Ra, new batroids, and now the Avatar on sale at Miniature Market (Thanks Theo for telling us about it!).

Hacker dude

He is about normal sized.

Next is the Avatar, and she is a big beasty!

both of the smaller guys are here with Agent G for scales.

The Hacker is a lanky fellow and tall too!

Here is the large weapon beast the Unidron and a big one he was, the biggest that was not the Raicho! He has been beaten by Her Majesty, the Avatar!
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

He towered over Agent-G, and she towers over him!, she is a real combat monster!, more images to come guys!

Great work shas! Good to see you back, I'd wondered where you'd gone.

I'm always put off by the paint jobs and the size of the models for infinity, in some ways i'd love to try them but their so small and the painting on the boxes is way better than I could ever do.

Did you get any more work done on the tank destroyer btw?
