Like, no, right? I feel like even if they liked the aesthetic they would consider it beneath them.

However. I also wanna put a lil beak on a Swooping Hawk, so I'm willing to hope that I just haven't found the right one.

Any examples in lore, even of an Eldar using any non-Aeldari equipment for a sustained period?

Eldar corsair use mix matching equipment due to necessity, same with most long behind enemy lines military units due to shortage of supplies.

I don't have a lore example, but can think of the following reasons:

- wear the same/similar gear so when you beat your opponent they know it's not due to gear but due to being outright superior
- mocking your opponent for your own/your faction's amusement ("look at this silly hat, they wear this for real lol")

I'd say the above are more something a corsair would do, I don't see strict aspects compromising their gear for these goals. If this is solely about the beak then you could simply fluff it as this armor looking a bit different. (Headcanon) The only reason all aspect warrior armor looks exactly the same over all craftworlds is that we don't have models that differentiate them. I'd expect the craftworlds, shrines and even individual warriors to add their own decorations/shapes to their armor.

Doubtful seeing as the Aeldari as a rule are arrogant beyond exception. Even their base natural senses would be preferred over sullying their superiority by using Monkeigh technologies.

Probably not, not.

Whilst when separated out each piece would remain decent protection, without power and the other systems it’s going to be heavy. Like, seriously heavy. It’s designed for a genhanced Astates strength and size.

Whilst not exactly small in stature, Eldar are of a slighter build than baseline humans. So any Astartes helmet is going to be laughably outsized for them. Close to a kid putting on its parent’s crash helmet. Albeit considerably heavier. And given the eye lenses are spaced for an Astartes head, I’d be surprised if anyone else would see much through it. Spesh worn in isolation of the other armour set it’s doubtful if it would have any power source at all. Oh and you’d probably struggle to hear through it as well.

No. The helmets are unessasery heavy for an Eldar. Also, they are probably very inferior. Not to mention Eldar do not like non Eldar at all.

You can how ever glue what ever models you want to play with. Perhaps look into green stuff of 3d printing. Adding beaks to swooping hawks does not sound hard

Yeah I think they’d likely rather die to be honest. They view humans as vermin.

As others have pointed out, an astartes helmet would be impractically sized and shaped, impractically heavy, less advanced than an eldar helmet, probably incompatible with the power source/tech of eldar armor, and would probably reek of mon-keigh body odor on top of it all.

That said, corsairs and drukhari aren't necessarily 100% opposed to using non-eldar gear from time to time. They could end up wielding an especially weird or primitive weapon for the lulz or as a flex. Corsairs could be low enough on supplies that they decide to "ironically" use imperial frag grenades instead of plasma grenades. That sort of thing. Maybe there's the rare instance of a piece of tech that does something unique/useful enough to justify making use of it.

But the tech of most other species is probably less powerful or improperly sized/weighted for the job. And on the short list of species that are similarly technologically advanced, necrons are absolutely loathed.

I guess maybe an eldar that ends up as part of a Rogue Trader's entourage or Inquisitor's retinue might eventually have to make do with some imperial tech if their own stuff was damaged, but they'd probably hate it.

Also, the wargear used by aspect warriors (such as swooping hawks) has deep psychological/spiritual/symbolic resonance. It would probably be considered pretty taboo or even dangerous to pervert the path system by walking around wear mon-keigh tech.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

But Swooping Hawks already have stylised beaks on their helmets...

Executing Exarch

Aspect Warriors need to assume a specific mindset that's separate from their normal everyday self (an inability to separate the two leads to becoming an exarch). As such, I would expect the donning of the aspect helmet to mark the shift from "space elf wearing showy armor" to "Dangerous Aspect Warrior". Given the highly ritualized nature of the job, I would not expect most aspect Warriors to wear armor that wasn't from their aspect.

Exarchs might be an exception since the ritual no longer works for them. But the lore suggests that most exarchs never remove their armor, with stories of the armor of newly killed exarchs being filled with dust instead of a body.

My headcanon is that part of the reason we occassionally see new aspects (like warp spiders, slashing spheres, etc.) is that an exarch basically got bored and started playing around with with equipment that didn't strictly adhere to the traditional loadout of their aspect.

So maybe a fire dragon exarch gets bored with the flamer and fusion gun and really start to like his fire pike. Then maybe he starts playing around with wing packs in his spare time because he's tired of cooling his heels inside a transport and waiting to be dropped off next to his target. He gets more and more into using the wing pack and starts using aerial maneuvers to drop in on his foe from above, but he realizes that adding an oxygen mask and altimeter to his helmet would make that a lot easier, so he puts on a hawk helmet.

Next thing you know, he's basically fighting like a heat lance scourge and teaching his students to do the same. Thus is born the Roasting Chicken aspect shrine.

But all of the above would still be utilizing eldar tech and psychoplastic armor. Integrating with a human helmet would be a weird choice.

Maybe a Dark Eldar trying to be intentionally gauche.

The basic problem would be an Astartes helmet would not integrate with the Aeldari armor. You couldn't even get an atmospheric lock on it, before you consider it bouncing around the smaller than Astartes head.

Your personal head canon can justify anything. Say it's not actually a marine helmet, but a clever facsimile made to resemble one in order to mock the 'best' of what humanity has to offer.

Background aside, how about sculpting a beak onto a Swooping Hawk helmet? It would probably look better than putting a Marine helmet on top of an Eldar body. Plus chances are they wouldn't want to be found dead wearing a clumsy Mon-Keigh helmet. Laughing stock potential.

No. Space Marine helmets would likely break an eldar's neck under the immense pressure of it's weight without power armor or it'd just look like a skinny guy wearing a oversized helmet.
