1.I heard pewter models may contain lead, did Games Workshop ever release pewter models with lead? Should I proceed with caution and is there any way to strip the lead?
Minis after the late 90s are lead free, but even lead minis aren't a problem as long as you don't inhale shavings and dust from sanding them.
2.The models have some paint on them. Which is the best way to strip the paint and not mess up the model?
You can strip lead or pewter in any strong solvent, from simple green/purple power/LAs Totally Awesome to straight up acetone.
3.I know that you cannot use Furies in AOS or 40k anymore, is there any other use for them? Like a fantasy game out there that would be good for Chaos furies?
You actually can use Furies in a Slaves to Darkness army for
AOS. They can be included as allies in Warcry as well. Many kings of war armies include gargoyles which are pretty similar.
4. How do I go about priming and painting these models? I'm not must knowledgeable about pewter and I'm more used to resin.
You prime them the same as reason. For pewter models I highly, highly recommend a rattle can primer, but brush on will work.
Thanks in advance for helping me with these questions, these things are relics but I want to give them a try.
These are them, they're covered in black paint

Those models were... let's say fine for the time. I think they have a charm! Good luck, and share how they come out.
