I'm delighted to see these getting painted! (I'm saddened to see them labeled "old school" - these were the newest hotness early in my Guard career).

Still gorgeous sculpts, and nicely executed here. Only observation - the blue of the goggles is a little jarringly bright against the sand/desert scheme; maybe it could be tinted a little darker?

Thanks Janthkin. I feel ya on the "old school". I still think of the ~2012 Tactical Squad as being a brand new kit, but that squad's about to head into secondary school...

The brightness on the goggles was (Semi) deliberate. The OG paintscheme had them as a black lenses which to me just seemed a touch boring and blended in a bit. In the 5th ed codex there's a few examples of it being a brigher grey/blue which I think gives a bit more focus on the otherwise nondescript face. I painted them as bright as I did in an effort to make them look like they're reflective lenses throwing back the Armageddon sky (which is probably not blue at all in reality, given it's an industrial world). I might tint one of them darker though and see how I like it.
It possibly also doesn't help that both model and base is predominately yellow as that likely makes them more noticeable. The examples in the codex are yellow uniform on a grey base and aren't as garish.
