First thought is, "Oooh, now I can get a new White Dwarf to go with my original," then I take a moment and realize, "I'm not paying $50 for that tiny little model, so probably not."

No rules for The Old World?

I've got the Blood Bowl version White Dwarf (and Black Gobbo), that's probably the only one I'd ever use in a game. Unless they make a Necromunda Grombrindal.

F - is the Fire that rains from the skies.
U - for Uranium Bomb!
N - is for No Survivors...

Great mini, I'll pick one up.

I really like the cover of WD 500 as well. Unite the Duardin!

Yah, he would be perfect as a TOW Character leading a Dwarf army.

That's a really nice sculpt. I'm curious as to how weird the slices of it will be on the sprue.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

If they taped the one small sprue it is on to the front of the magazine as a gift. It would be fantastic way to celebrate.
It will probably be a £25 extra though.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Xenos Rampant, Mars Code Aurora and Battletech.
I tried dabbling with 40k9/10 again and tried AoS3 - Nice models, naff games, but I'm enjoying HH2 and loving Battletech Classic and Alpha Strike.

I just don't get why they made it an AoS one? Why not make it Old World?

Grombrindal still exists in AOS and he got a collection of short stories. Plus they gave him rules for AOS specialist games to make him more enticing to those players

Now I want to swap his axe for a paintbrush and have all of the bits on his base look like grey plastic as a literal pile of shame

Nice model. I could see myself buy one if price and availability don't get in the way.

AoS is GW's main fantasy setting now. There isn't much more to it than that. Warhammer Fantasy was officially ended nine years ago and rolled into AoS as the setting's pre-prehistory. In Warhammer Community articles aimed at getting people interested in The Old World for old time's sake, they felt the need to repeatedly emphasize that the world they're trying to sell people on still ends and results in AoS. They've gone so far as to claim that the end of the world was always the inevitable outcome. Warhammer on the fantasy side is AoS now. The Old World might as well not exist when it comes to commemorative models.

It's also not just AoS. The limited edition model for the Rogue Trader anniversary was Primaris, a Marine variety that had existed for all of five minutes at the time. GW's past exists pretty much exclusively for nostalgia money. In any other regard GW wants everyone's attention on the present and very near future.

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
