I've been looking for proper oldhammer style Orks for a while now (not a fan of the current Blood Bowl -inspired Ork range), and this commended entry from this years Golden Demon caught my eye:
Anyone know where its from? This is precisely the type of stff I'm after..
thanks!

There's an unpainted pic on his Instagram, which shows that it's made of lots of bits and putty: https://www.instagram.com/nachogonzalezart/p/DAwSDqiN0nv/

thank you! So it was an elaborate kitbash & conversion job.
Looks like I'd have to learn to sculpt a bit of GS if I ever want to make that Paul Bonner -style Ork army from the existing range.. I suppose the moral of the story is, dont dream of building an Ork army unless you intend to convert every model, as I suppose is the true way and also the way how Orks themselves behave - everything is a mashup and highly DIY affair..

One of the main allures of the orc army is the freedom to just go crazy with plasticard, random kits, and the hobby knife.
So many people do so much amazing stuff, all of it unique.

That's a beautiful re-imagining of the old ghazghkull thrakka. I always prefered it over the mechanical mega armor version we have now.
Such a heavy conversion its practically an entirely new sculpt.
