Unusual problem, I know... but after years of painting my models while watching TV shows, I've kind of lost the ability to watch a show or movie at home WITHOUT a paintbrush in one hand and a model in another. This has led to a situation where I buy models I barely need just because I want something to paint while I finish the show I'm watching. My armies now have pretty much everything I want to field, and at this rate I'll need to start a new army. Maybe I should get into The Old World...

Some of you may already be thinking: "You could offer to paint someone else's models! Plenty of players want to field a painted army, but hate painting!" But frankly, I don't think I would have much motivation to paint models that aren't mine, in a color scheme I didn't choose.

I'm not asking for a solution. Just wanted to share my woes.

Yeah, my problem is that I bought like ten different armies worth of miniatures, and keep switching which army I’m painting. By the time I’m old, I should he ready to play a game of Warhammer.

I get you, I feel the same. I was lucky to have children, for 8 years I built a huge backlog and now that they are a bit older I have more time and for the first time I now have a pile that will last for a while.

Not advocating having children only for this, though!

I have 11 minis left to paint before I can buy something new. However, at my standard rate of 1 mini a month, that means that I’ll get to buy myself something for my next birthday next October!
I like to think too that we ork players don’t have piles of shame, we have bitz boxes.
