I'm doing a lot of 3rd ed Stormtroopers and i'm getting toward the finish with the bulk of them but i've been drilling the barrels of any grenade launchers, meltaguns, plasmaguns and plasma pistols.
The flamers gave me pause as i wasn't sure how big the nozzle on a flamer should be - the barrel shroud on the end of the flamers have a protruding disk on the end which i think is supposed to represent the nozzle but its pretty wide. (same sort of size as the flat spot on the plasma pistols tbh)
I was thinking about using a pin to 'drill' the nozzle of the flamers but then i looked at the hotshot laspistols and hotshot lasguns and crazy thoughts emerged.

What size nozzle for 3rd ed Stormtrooper flamer nozzle?
Should i 'drill the barrels' of the las-weaponry?

I think you can go quite big for a flamer nozzle. It needs to get quite thick liquid through, and the bit the very end may even just be a protective shroud anyway, rather than it being the “barrel” of the weapon.

Regarding las weapons, I wouldn’t drill them. There is supposed to be focussing crystals in the end of the barrel anyway, so not likely for there to be a hole needed.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Okay, good to know about the focussing optics.

Just for completeness, behold the nozzle size on the flamer...
