I sold off my Eldar 7 years ago when I got out of the 40k scene. Now here I am with a 6 year old who got a free Infernus Marine from a shop owner (the metallic Blue painted one) and he wants to continue painting marines. Now here I am with the intro box and starter set painting Tyranids. All marines painted by my son who is 6 (primed and assembled by me). Tyranid painted by me (just finished a squad of 10 today). The start of Hive Fleet Basilisk!

Getting to paint/hobby with your kids is a really cool experience.

Hi there. Welcome back in.

Having someone to paint with helps a lot, so we'll probably have that hivefleet finished in no time.

You know your way around, and those Gallery pics from years ago must be galling now Starting again can be good too.

Those old pictures for sure are very old. I have learned so much from painting battletech and some D&D minis while I was gone. Washes, Dry brushing and paint thinning. You can see that the Tyranid I posted looks much better than what I did 8 years ago. As a matter of fact I am about to finish the next 20 Termagaunts today. Just have the teeth and eyes left to do.

Nice. I tried at that age, but my kids weren’t ready for it. They are getting keen now and we can redeploy the play room into a mixed hobby room

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
