Slow & Steady - Shambling hordes, lumbering vehicles, tortoises winning against Hares. Slow and inexorable. Or perhaps the subject looks like they are taking it easy, and are living life in the slow lane. You might not be first across the line, but will get there.

Leader of the Pack - Officers, squad leaders, champions. Alternately, wolves or dogs. These guys are leading the charge, the big dogs, head honchos. Generals with fancy hats, grizzled sergeants chewing cigars. Boss Nobs, synapse nexuses.

Sidekicks - Hirelings, henchmen, pets. Loyal butlers, assistants, minions. They support others, always ready to lend a hand in times of need.

It’s Not Easy Being Green - A few ways to approach this. Either as a technical challenge incorporating the color green as a dominant element, or thematically. Either eco-friendly (or eco-terrorist) back to nature. Or ork/frog/little green men subjects. Lot of ways to play this.

To be honest, I picked these topics without thinking what I would do.

Slow and steady could easily be the undead I’m working on.

Leader could be a vampire

Sidekicks could be some imps/cats/etc extras from Cursed City.

Or for either I could do the neurotyrant and his 2 little buddies,

Green would actually be hard. Although I could lean into the reuse/reduce/reanimate aspect of the undead…

I voted for Green because I literally play Dark Angels (who are, famously, in green armor), but I could make something work for any of these.

Slow and Steady: I've still got plenty of Deathwing that need some love, although I did just do some of those for March so I'd try to find something else. Maybe some Tomb Kings stuff?

Leader of the Pack: I've got leaders coming out of my ears (no jokes about needing to see a doctor for that please...), so lots of choices here.

Sidekicks: Maybe Faramir and his buddies would work for this (after all, Boromir would have been in the other category, now where's a nice juicy tomato?). Or maybe I could paint up the Space Marines Company Heroes models (it's a captain and his sidekicks, sort of).

It's Not Easy Being Green: As mentioned, Dark Angels Marines wear green armor. But I also have the Kruleboyz, and they are green. Or some Lothlorien Elves, as they protect nature in a way (at least their own lands).

I'm going sidekicks, because it's the only thing that leaps to mind: a certain BB ogre and his halfling buddy...

I went with Green, but I don't expect it to win. Why make your life needlessly hard? It ain't easy being green.

No rush, but start getting ready for June.

We are also going to start the summer side quest on Monday as an additional project.

OK, still not sure what was going on, but calling it closed at this point. If the numbers change, that’s on them.

June will be Slow and Steady.
July will be Sidekicks.
Summer side quest will be a mega open, run from Memorial Day to Labor Day'
We’ll vote again for August.
