Custodes are golden sriracha because gold and even though they are different from the usual and should be seen as such, people just think of them as the same as regular Doritos but slightly spicy. Also, apparently it was inspired by yellow and green sriracha Doritos, and the Talons of the emperor have both custodies and the sisters of silence.

I actually just tried the golden sriracha ones a day or two ago, and this feels accurate. They're actually quite a lot more different than I expected them to be.
