Subject: [40k] Do you model Enhancements?

Arch Magos w/ 4 Meg of RAM

I was visiting the Warhammer store the other day and there was a guy bemoaning that he couldn't tell which of his opponent's models had enhancements on them.
He suggested that people should convert their units to show that they either have a specific enhancement or to a lesser degree, be marked in some way to show the model has an enhancement.
In a world of WYSIWYG, it does kinda make sense since it's sometimes difficult in the middle of the game to remember which Commissar is better than his 3 other clones...
What do you, the viewers at home, think?

I try to if I can, but given that they're all going to change next edition, or could even become undesirable after points changes in the current edition, I don't convert anything I can't change back, or didn't want in the first place.

I have, in the past, modeled relics. Teeth of Terra and the Shield Eternal. But I’ve not modeled enhancements. Aren’t some of them more like warlord traits? Non-tangible things? Reminds me of arguments of yore about modeling which psychic power your farseer had…

Should the base be marked with a flag or other token to show they have an enhancement?

If you are running identical characters, it would be polite to have some way to tell them apart. If they have the same wargear, and the same paint job, and are deployed close together, I could see some confusion.
If I were in a situation where I wanted such similar characters in a list, I’d try for at least headswaps to tell them apart. Or a golden paldron. Something. But I tend not to have a lot of duplicate identical characters in my lists. And if so, the odds of them having an enhancement seems low.
WYSWYG is not currently an official rule. It’s a courtesy to your opponent. Games should be won by generalship and the luck of the dice, not “gotcha!” moments. At least IMHO. So I personally try to keep as close to WYSWYG as I can.

It sure seems like a token or something would suffice, like having a die follow a model around the battlefield to keep track of wounds.
