How do!

Whilst not from a military family, I’ve a particular soft spot for Military Veterans. Even as a bleeding heart dirty smelly liberal, Military Veterans are people I particularly care about.

In the UK, we’ve a charity which provides therapy for veterans through model kits. I dare say that to the person in the street, such a notion seems silly and possibly ludicrous. But being a Nerd? I myself find building and painting kits therapeutic. I probably could explain that here, but this thread isn’t about me.

Instead? It’s a clarion to draw attention to a Good Charity doing Good Work.

Their website is https://www.modelsforheroes.org.uk/

If you’ve spare kits or spare dosh? Maybe swing by and see if you can help out any. You can donate dosh, you can donate complete, untouched kits. Their main focus is real world military scale models though.

My dad was RAF, he used to enjoy building model kits, mainly cars. I remember growing up it seemed like a lot of the others dads on camp did as well. Interesting direction for a charity, I'll take a look; cheers for sharing.
