The big name in this market was Soulforge Studios - and if you wanted physical models you'd go to Godforged Minis who had the only licence to sell prints of those models.
However a year or so back SFS pulled the line from sale and a month or so ago Godforged also pulled the physical line. This wasn't due to GW but internal matters (SFS wanted creative freedom and both suffered from complaints/pressure from customer demands).
SFS have now launched a brand new line - Dark Fleets Rising which aims to provide compatible proxies with an increasing amount of unique styles.
They've so far launched two fully complete factions on their store as STLs and a 3rd has got the first ship out this month through their Tribe and its insanely modular, check out this video
This is currently all STLs, but they maintain a contract with Godforged and there are plans to bring them to the Godforged Store in the future
It also goes without saying that all support they get from Tribers monthly means more can go to making more and more ships/models

Now, that last link is, as my granny sometimes said? The Very Dab!
Even better knowing my money is going to the creator.
That way, despite normally being against TP knock-offs? When they’re the only way to get what I want (GW having long since retired the models), I maintain the same ethos - giving the money to the person or company that brought it to market in the first place.
Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?
Yep and Dark Fleets Rising will one day have some fancy new designs you'd be able to get your hands on too - so there's a lot of great choices to be had!
Scourge Scenics sell prints in the UK - as well as ones like the original metals, they've just added a second version of the 'Crons fleet with modern 40k lightning style bits which look pretty cool too.
