How do!

Looking to apply the aforenamed time saving technique to my Necromunda Hired Guns, as it looks like a lazy way to get decent results, as is my preference.

However? I’m struggling to find a decent video tutorial covering the basics. I’ve of course looked on YouTube, but the ones I’ve found have too much waffling, and don’t show enough detail in the early stages.

Little help, Dakka?

Goodness me! It’s my 2026 Hobby Extravaganza!

There's not an awful lot to it.

Prime with black. Do a heavy dry-brush with grey, then a lighter dry-brush / edge highlight with white. Then paint with contrast-style paints.

You can vary the colour of the priming depending on the effect you're going for, in the same manner as the spray primers that launched with the GW Contrast paints that came in a cool grey or a warm beige...

If you've got an airbrush, you could also do it with a zenithal prime rather than dry-brushing. I find that gives a more natural effect.

I think I used the Ninjon one.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
