At the 5.48 mark in the video below, Battlefront Miniatures has announced 'Volley & Charge: American Civil War' with a possibility of more from the 19th century (Crimean War, American Indian Wars, Franco-Prussian War and the one I'm looking forward to, Samurai Wars).

They should have done a sci-fi reimplementation of the FoW rules years ago. They could have a rules set that wasn’t constrained by sku bloat, humoring Grognards , etc. they could have made a game that doesn’t turn into quite the parking lot team Yankee can and wouldn’t be forced to make some of the compromises needed to have all the modern toys on the board. This current plan will I think just dig them a deeper hole, sadly.

Interesting that they are making this move. This is where you joke and say about parking lots of cannons?

I found the Warlord Epic scale (of around 10mm) really difficult to paint as they are tiny but still carry detail, so a nice range of (I assume 15mm plastics) would be welcome.

Well, I'm glad Battlefront is going to provide "the same thing, but 2 mm taller" to Warlord's range, it's basically the Firstborn-Primaris dichotomy but spread across two companies rather than one!
