This is the rough draft of my Guard army, I want to change it up loads, but I have to start somewhere: <?

Grenadears, Rough Riders, Close Order Drill

(This squads job is to stay out of sight and bunch up using close order drill for Leadership 9.)
Junior officer w/ lasgun
4 men w/ lasguns
2x Anti tank squad 95 pts ea
(for fire support vs light infantry in frag or heavy infantry or medium armor in krak)
3x missile launchers
Elites
(No Elites so far)
Troops
4x Storm Trooper Squad 108 pts ea
(these guys are the main objective takers)
Sergeant w/ hell pistol and sword
8 troopers 1w plasma gun 1w grenade launcher
Fast Attack
2x Rough Rider Squad 119 pts ea
(counter attack + minor anti tank+5th-6th turn objective grabbing)
sergeant w/ power weapon + laspistol
8 riders w lances
frag grenades
Heavy Support
3x Demolisher 200 pts ea
(Heavy anti tank, anti Big Guy)
Multi Melta side sponsens, lascannon hull, difficult terrain equipment
Total 1500
A few things I am thinking ?
Should I take out the missile launchers and add somthing better, they seem mediocre at best?
What is to be said for rough riders without lances, and instead swords and pistols, that way they can fight for more then one round?
Should I put special weapons in my rough rider squads and if so melta guns or Flamers?
How should I upgrade my command squad? Should I do a buffed up assault squad to finish what the rough riders start?
(also a rules question, (ill post in you make the call if there?s any disagreement): does lance + pistol or lance + ccw = +1 close combat attack bonus?)
There is a lot of room for improvement, all suggestions appreciated.
