It's 2 dreadnought backs with the exhausts, 1 land raider exhaust, baneblade exhausts for those little double-pipes next to the laid raider bit. The gas tanks were from the baneblade and the little vent things at the bottom were cut off of the rhino roof bit that the predator turret goes on.

Geez that really shows how big that thing is... love it, need more pipes.... um so have you figured our the command deck/turret yet?

I think it is a shame you can't see the tank tracks properly now. It is probably too late, but if you could raise the main part slightly to allow better sight of the tracks I think it would be better.

Doesn't the Leviathan carry infantry and vehicles? I thought the ramp was in the back.

It does have a ramp, under the engine. There's a pic of that on page 2. i'm going to have mine just be a troop transport, no sentinels, so it doesn't need the bigger door

for the command deck, I'm gonna wait for the shadowsword to come out and I will use the top of that that the cannon attaches to if it fits good. Based on my baneblade and some pics I've seen I did some measuring and that whole piece should be pretty much exactly as wide as the top section. If it doesn't fit, I'll just build my own but something that looks similar

thanks I'm hoping my FW stuff gets here soon not gonna hold my breath though knowing those guys. I have plenty of time to wait, i don't really need this done till november for my club's big apocalypse game. I'm sure it's gonna take a real long time to paint

Painting it could be fun. You could get a bunch of guys over to help you with it. There'll be more than enough room around the model to have a few painters. Or get an airbrush kit and a bucket of paint!

Actually for painting I was just going to get some gray primer spray and spray the whole thing, then paint up the gold and metal spots, then use wood stain like you would use to dip stuff, only paint it on. That'll get all the shading and stuff done quick & easy. There's a lot of little details though. But all of the guns I will keep removable at first so I can paint them separately.

Thats a very unique way to paint a very unique model.

No word on the hydra. FW just kind of sends stuff when they get around to it so I'm not expecting it for at least another week, but who knows I might get lucky. I will also have to wait till the end of next week to get my shadowsword kit too. Hopefully I'll get both right around the same time

I'm hoping I can get my stegadon all done in the meantime

Well, I got my baneblade cannon sprues, but still no word from FW :( And I gotta wait for the shadowsword to come out next week too been working on my stegadon in the meantime

Its march already!! has the hydra arrived? I do hope this beast gets finished soon, It'd be awesome to see it in a battle report!! Doomsday cannon fires - enemy are all dead.

Nothing yet but at the very least I'll be getting the shadowsword this weekend so I can at least work on the top cannon part while I still wait around for the hydra

Thats true. And maybe you could start painting it before life gets to busy with real things! Hope it comes soon.

No it's more like an imperial guard regimental HQ transport. It would usually carry the general(s) and the advisors plus a few squads to make up their personal defense force. The info and stats for it are on the very first post in the link to the lords of battle PDF

When I use it in games it will carry my army's HQ command squad plus 40 stormtroopers or maybe 20 troopers and 10 ogryns.

How much is this costing you?

ugh.. price.. let's see.. it wasn't all in one big purchase I did it over the span of about 6 months...

razorback & predator sponson sprues (4 land raider terminus upgrade packs from GW + 2 more razorback sprues from Bitkingdom) for all the side guns were around $90. I have a lot of extra guns left over that I will be using to build other little projects too.

5 boxes of cities of death buildings for all the walls... $125. Extra stuff will go toward building terrain

hehe yeah kind of almost done. I just want to get the rest of the parts I need and I have some other little details I want to add. Actually I could probably start painting the bottom half but I have some other projects I'm working on while I wait. working on a brand new lizardman army

if FW made a leviathan it would prolly be about $700

I have plans for the other leftover bitz too, I'll be building a lot of terrain with what's left of the COD boxes and with the leftover heavy bolters and lascannon bitz I'll be doing some HW team conversions for my guard or possibly scratch building some tarantulas or some fortress style terrain with some guns on it. so it'll all go to good use

hydra turret plus the extra hellhound. But, the barrels on the turret are bent :( I'm gonna try running it under hot tap water and hopefully that will make it soft enough to bend back and make it straight. Tomorrow or friday I'll be getting the shadowsword, then I'll have all I need

But, I gotta finish up my Stegadon first. hopefully tonight...
