Wow, havnt listened to Filter in ages, awsome band. Their second album called Title of Record was an album that I listened to non stop for months after it first came out. I honestly thought they deserved to be huge. Its a pity theve faded away. They actually released a new album last year, I listened to it once but never gave it much of a chance. It might be a grower. Hopefully I havnt deleted it.

Anyway heres another couple of songs by this top act.

My favorite song (and band) at the moment.

"Metal is like an apple, you're not supposed to eat the core."

[Just not into brit-pop or whiney music in general].

Haven't had a song 'touch' me in that special way since 'Silent Lucidity' by Queensryche.

Sex on fire just sounds so derivative and very much like an old aussie band to my jaded ears (Noiseworks).

"Silent Lucidity"? Really? Queensryche is really kind of crap.

Best pop song: really anything by Prince in the 80's. That man got the filthiest stuff on the radio with nary a blink. "little red corvette" is not about a car.

Best metal song (on the radio): stinkfist, for the same reason above. "Take my hand" has two meanings, friend.

Clutch is pure rock fury. 'nuff said.

This was also good, and involved murder:

Yeah, Clutch is pretty sweet. It's a nice break from my near constant extreme metal.

The best album of last year is a close contest between Britney Spears' Blackout and Dig Lazarus Dig by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

I have awesome taste in music.

Saying that, I used to be a real music nazi. If it wasn't metal, I didn't want to know. Now I'm a little more grown up I appreciate a lot more music. Whilst still loving my hard rock and metal, I do own about 3 pop albums, which is nice.

Aersomith / Run DMC? Come on man.

What about Public Enemy and Anthrax? Thats a winner!

Ive heard loads of people rave about Nevemore, Ive never understood it myself though. All their songs just seem to be long and dull. The lead singer gets tons of praise but I just cant stand him, to me his voice is like nails on a blackboard.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I like it because it's different from what most metal bands do. Dream Theater kinda has the same vibe going on, only way more technical.
