I can't believe how much this has come together in such a short time, seriously, wow.

The only thing I can think of adding to up the gross factor is a larger intestinal spill along the front, maybe a nice rip from the uppser side down. You could leave some of the guts trailing onto the walker.

OK - made another couple of faces of pestilence - I'm thinking of painting these brass with verdigris when it comes to painting.

Also added some tendons to the legs, and mocked up an exhaust stack from the centre of the panel - one would be on each panel.

Found that boiling water is effective for the removal of surface hot glue - looking to create the legs as clear metal with tendons and perhaps the occasional boil rather than slime covered.

Those faces are a good idea... I'm rather fond of them.

I just started my Defiler and so far I've got the upper jaw almost complete... but fitting it all together is going to be a pain in the ass... bleh!

Wowowow. The 7 faces of Pestilence take it to a whole new level.

Something that intricately converted (and that much bigger than an ordinary Grinder) deserves a special datasheet when played in Apoc. Or just use it as a Stompa.

This has come so far. Awesome.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Hi

Had some thoughts about creating infested casualties as Nurgle bases.

Had a play around tonight at making a nurgling and setting up a marine...

I have to say this is pretty wicked, from the onset I was wary, but this is really turning out very nice! I, like many others, am looking forward to seeing the final product.

Throw enough Goblins at anything and it should go away, at the very least there will be less Goblins.

FYI, I used a template/mold to make the faces all roughly the same size and shape and then added separate detail for each, so it was quite quick to create the faces:

Now have the Nurgling base ready for undercoating:

Decided on just 3 and trying out a swamp base look for a nurgle army - see how it comes out!

Cheers

should look cool. water effects works great with the washes mixed in....also once you have mat sealed the base you can go over the 'swamp' with a gloss ard coat to make it shiny and slimey

I'm thinking of red scorpians as the basis for "hosting" my Nurgle army - I think the red would work well with it...

Thoughts?

OK - time for an update on the Soul Grinder!

Have nearly completed the build...

Mounted in the grinder - note have added horns to the top of the legs, girders underneath and connection points to help with the monster/machine view:

An imperial guardsman's eye view just before death:

Overhead:

The gubbins underneath - note the waste exhausts and a magnet mounting for a future upgrade weapon:

Still left to do:

  • Milliput into the inside of the machine to join together the two pieces better.

  • Put some cogs inside the back of the unit.

  • Greenstuff up the connection points

  • That will pretty much see it finished - then onto painting!

OK - test paint tonight of a plague bearer to try out what I'm going to do on the Soul Grinder now it is ready for paint...

Thoughts? I think this could look good on a large monster, but happy to take advice.

Also started work on the nurgling base - decided to use Blood Angels as my Nurgle "seed" army:

Not quite so pink in person - purple washes over light green.

LOL - I have only done a couple of sections of the bottom half - it is a large model to do it all at once!
