I really don't understand why, if you were a retail worker in this situation, you would care one way or another if a person did this. On the other hand if you were in an FLGS and did this in front of the owner it
WOULD be rude. To me there is a huge distinction...
Hell isn't it generally considered to be good customer service to direct someone somewhere else if you can't fulfill their requirements?

Ugh lets not let this be about me i dont want to hijack thread
You people are funny i must say. its like being on 40k online where you ask a question make a statement and the first or second response is "you tool go buy the rule book!" Or some other rude or condescending comment.
They werent out of stock of just 1 or 2 things... they did not have 8 or 9 things..
I looked up alot of the posts of people that are so inflamatory towards me... its right on par. Grats.
Anyways i did what i wanted to do and maybe one day some of you will enjoy the exhilerating feeling of expressing your feelings as a consumer in public. Dont worry you got it down well on the Internet forums now just go for it in really real life.

I guess you need to work retail and have experience from the other side of the counter / till to understand it a bit better.
Anyway, I don't believe the tough guy story that he posted about whipping out his laptop and doing the dirty deeds he described so gloriously, probably it is all just a make-believe machination to try and fit in with the cool Dakka crowd.

And maybe someone will enjoy the exhilarating experience of beating you with a bat-whats your point? Hey why complain-they just want to express their feelings.
Nuts.

Good point. We may be dealing with a troll.

The fact that you copy and pasted what you had written in the locked thread into another thread, which was pretty OT- kinda shows that maybe you did want to Hijack the thread
Its funny- people seem to call it as they see it on Dakka... and you know- thats not too great towards you
As for them being out of stock of 8-9 things... how many of those things should have been in stock? and how sure are you, obviously being extremely knowledgeable on the subject, that it is the fault of the staff who you treated like poo that the stock wasn't in place, that it is always the case that they don't have the right things and that someone hadn't beaten you to the punch an hour before you arrived and bought all those things just to screw you over
I call it an isolated incident that you've decided to believe is the norm, from what you've said your not in GW stores much, but decide its not to your liking based on them not having anything the one time you go in
bet you a dollar the stuff carried in store would be in there next time you went in... betcha

Heh why is this a tough guy story? Cant imagine yourself doing the same thing without some cool backround music like your in a movie? Its called self confidence and initiative. I worked retail at one time when i was finishing up my degree and i understood the plight of the customer and i learned that they are always right even when they are wrong. They want to spend their hard earned dollars with me and my company so i need to ensure they can do that.

Wow ths is almost right... look at my time stamp from the other locked thread .. wow it came after this post.. Actually this is the fist post because i felt it was relevant to why GW needs to close some stores layoff some folks and re focus on better management of their stocks and customer satisfaction.
Problem was i started to think that it didnt belong in the News section and better in the discussion threads.. i however hit submit when i was supposed to hit preview hence why it was put here first. that was my fault i apologize for that.

Ok, this guy is full of it. Anyone who has worked a day in retail knows the customer is almost NEVER right, and is almost ALWAYS a fething idiot.
Unless you're some manager or company tool who actually buys the drivel spewed down from on-high. Which GW seems to have alot of actually...

Hm, as I said before, around here we've got the saying "customer is king, but we are the emperor". No this is not some vague 40k reference, but this is how we roll in stores.

Closing this thread. There is one in discussions at this point that is less focused on one person.
