i saw the damage it could possible do and my friend died and i cried but then i got a chance get him back

Some of us are old farts. We already know how bad it is. We also know that getting teenagers to pay attention and learn it is pretty tough (teens are invulnerable - reality has proven the fallacy of this, though). I've lost schoolfriends to 'accidents' - real funerals are tough (buried three friends on the same day). You can't make me go to a fake one.
Good that you learned something. Hopefully some of your classmates also learned. I still have doubts that the right ones will get the message.

I think the problem with this sort of thing is that the responsible kids who weren't going to drink and drive anyways pay attention and don't drink and drive. And the irresponsible kids that are going to drink and drive don't pay attention and drink and drive.
But it's time out of school so i can support that. Bonus points for the kids taken by the grim reaper - did they have to go sit somewhere or was it like free period?

Isn't distracted driving like orders of magnitude more likely to kill you than drunk driving?
I suppose it doesn't evoke the same emotional outrage so it doesn't get as much money to raise awareness and/or prevention.
