In 20 years gaming, I've never once had a problem in either a store or at a club.

My club (http://yorkgarrison.co.uk) actually meets in the heart of one of the city's roughest areas, but we've never encountered any trouble. I'm sure the very excellent staff of the Community Centre where we meet must help with that, though.

I can understand the frustration some might have with those types. Walking back home for some people, with their brand new boxes and bags mark them as targets for those that prey on the young or solitary.

I'm old enough and ugly enough at this stage in my life that I don't get trouble anyway.

Ever has the young nerd been the target of the idiotic bully, ever has the young nerd grown up to be the bully's employer/judge/parole officer/landlord/benefit investigator.

Time is a great leveller. Be patient young ones and study yesss, we shall inherit...

Samus666, we have those here in the states. Wanna-be-gangstas, D-Bags, and Wiggers (a rather offensive term) all describe them.

Just remind yourself, in the game of life, you've won, and they've lost. They're just poor sports about it.

Patience and a strong use of your voice.

At least that's what I'm supposed to do when youths are trying to steal fags from behind the counter. Though I have found the simple act of maintaining eye contact and reaching for the phone or alarm button the moment they do something naughty a great help.

If vandalism is involved and it is a repeated case all you can do is make a report to the police and if possible get the vandals in question on tape or film. If it continues you can always plaster his face all over town / mall / whatever with the listed charges beneath it. We're doing it right now and it actually works in keeping the scum out, even if it is a breach of their privacy.

We refuse to take sides in this anymore. And we refuse to let you turn us against one another. We know who we are now, we can find our own way between order and chaos...

It's over because we've decided it's over. Now get the hell out of our galaxy! Both of you.
