well, you know there are some people who don't play DnD or that T:TM and that other stuff.....so natrually they are going to start wondering with 40k

Some of them already have. I know someone who had a Blood Angels character who was descended from the Ultramarines, but trained by Space Wolves as a Blood Claw, and ended up as a captain in a Blood Angels company somehow. Oh, and they supposedly have a mark of the wulfen and have conquered the black rage. Don't ask me why they did that, some people just have that kind of obsession.

WTF! I don't mean to sound rude but thats just slowed! I mean, I've created an entire new planet with my whole regiment idea and its no where as ridiculous as that! ....I'm sorry, but if you see this person....ever.....could you please just give them a HUGE SMACK TO THE FACE? just for me, cause thats what I would do that them. and if they have problems with this, please, PLEASE. @Commisar Nikev-V:TM=Vampire the Masquerade. A rpg produced by White Wolf. It was a very good system and a really cool game IF you had a strong story teller. The game was uber popular dueing the hieght of the Goth movement with LARPs all across the nation. These groups would actually honor your abilities earned else where ince they checked out you card/sheet. Had a friend that traveled full-time and would play in different cities. These people are no worse than those on this forum that travel all over the country for a game that uses toy solidiers.

It was part of a massive world called the World of Darkness (now referred to as the Old World of Darkness, after White Wolf did a reboot of their setting), which included various other aspects of a sort of modern gothic fantasy (including werewolves constantly battling against the force of civilization, for example, faeries struggling against the forces of banality- that is, the lack of creativity and magic in the world-- and magez constantly fighting the common perception of how the world is in order to work their magic), and a huge amount of backstory-- more than enough for someone to get lost in if you weren't careful, which is why you need a strong storyteller.

I used to bounce through Toredor, Ravenos, and Malk's. For some reason, everyone that knew me at the time would guess Malk.

and that wouldn't count as Beastiality cause from what I know Elves are humans with a slight different appearance and some slightly and some not so slightly different attributes and abilities.

LARping? I assume Live Action Role Playing.......that is pretty nerdy, unless it involves guns. so 40k is good

Huh, I used to mainly play Tories and Ravenos. Somthing about the performing Harpies and the thieving Gypsies that I loved to play. Played the others in the Camarilla. Hmm, I've played Gypsies, Vamps, and thieves.

@Melissa- Hats off to you. Playing Malks can be physically and emotionally draining. For those that don't know, Playing a Malk well would be like role playing Heath Ledgers Joker full bore.

Malkavians are all clinically insane. It's a rule.

Some malks are more fortunate than others, like the ones that are simply afraid of dust touching their skin and therefor must cover it all up to try and prevent dust from touching their skin directly. Others are psychotic serial murderers yay! Heh.

Off- Topic-My Story teller once made the mistake of letting me take over a MalK NPC that was visiting the city(We were playind DC at Night). The NPC was Maxed on ranks of dementia (If memory serves correctly).

The local Prince had a habit of not being available to meet new/visting vampires yet it was a death sentence to be in the city without introducing yourself. A catch 22 designed to keep new rivals to a minimum.

First night, I made my presence known to the Prince by Taking a late night stroll past the nearby Catholic Church and all Catholic Girls Private Boarding School. For some reason the Prince had me brought before him to ask about a hundred Faithful women wandering the streets with crosses, holy water, and wooden stakes thinking that they were Buffy.

He never let me play a malk again.

Guys, different species not being able to cross breed is one of the things that makes 40k different.

along with the extreamly blurry line between good and evil.

As for Star Trek, theie was this progenitor race that seeded the worlds of all the Humanoid planets. That's why everyone looks the same and can breed. They were kinda like The Old Ones.

Yes, weirdly enough 40K has a similiar backstory to star trek.

Kinda sorta. Yet at the same time, dramatically different due to the inclusion of The Warp / Empyrean.

Star Trek has subspace which is the MUCH MUCH nicer version. Contains no soul eating gods of evil.

Now, Cross-breeding could happen in the warp but we can't talk about that due to the rule.

GW has a rule that states-"What happens in the Warp, Stays in the Warp".
